As of February 25, 2026, Claude Code users can now seamlessly continue their programming sessions from any device, including smartphones, tablets, or web browsers. This new feature allows sessions to remain active on the user's local machine, ensuring that no data is transferred to the cloud. Users can maintain access to local files, servers, and project settings without interruption. By connecting via claude.ai/code or through the Claude app available on iOS and Android, users can effortlessly switch between terminal, browser, and mobile phone. Should the network connection drop, the session will automatically attempt to reconnect, although it will terminate after approximately ten minutes of offline status. Initially, this feature is being rolled out as a research preview for Max subscribers, with Pro users expected to gain access soon after. Unlike the web-based Claude Code, which has been utilizing Anthropic's cloud infrastructure since last year, these remote control sessions are fully hosted on the user's personal computer. Anthropic is actively enhancing Claude Code by integrating automated code reviews and GitHub functionalities. The company is also in the process of a significant funding round, aiming to raise $10 billion with a valuation of $350 billion. According to inventor Boris Cherny, the new Claude Cowork tool was predominantly developed using Claude Code itself.
